Post-release notes

I just watched someone stream this, and the glitching killed me. I ran out of time to optimise during the jam, and I didn't realise it only plays well on supercomputers. There are a hundred-plus nodes constantly running in the background that don't need to, but I can't upload a fix while voting's open, so… you know. Shame on me.

Oh no, the space ship is exploding

This cruise to Zeta Reticuli sucks.

The other passengers are obnoxious. The food's made from horses' hooves. The alcohol's expensive. And now, space pirates have attacked the ship, taken the vault, and left you with an engine spewing fusion coolant through the decks.

Can you find an escape pod and get out of there before the ship blows up in 1:45?

How to play

Use WASD or cursor keys to move around.

There are no collectibles or interactions. Just run!

Sensitivity warnings

This game is set onboard a space ship on fire. There are no jump scares nor any explicit violence.

The music, sound effects and flickering fire effects cannot be reduced or turned off in-game, but the game is entirely playable with all sound muted.

Development

A solo development by Cariad Eccleston for Indie Dev Game Jam #4 with the theme "escape" in ~2 days.

Developed in Godot. Graphics drawn in Aseprite. Sound effects are my voice manipulated in Audacity. Music composed and exported from Bosca Ceoil Blue. 

Colour palette is Storms and Cyan by DigiSalmon font by Phildjii. Thank you!
